Problems with the Church - Help

Church Problem resolution? - Todd Charske
Back to Full Blog

Thanks for your input on this matter at this point in time I realize that in my anger I have wrongfully accussed my pasteur and friend of siding with a person that I felt wronged me. I apologize for this and I have asked for forgiveness not only from this pasteur but from the church. Thank the good Lord that he is a Godly man in the image of Christ (the great forgiver) and has accepted my forgiveness. Am I still mad about the initial situation - YES. On the other hand, I have done some crazy things in retaliation that also are not right.

Thanks,

Todd Charske

Homeless people do need help but I need help also.

Oh well I hope you'll find the help you need..if it's money I was telling a very sweet girl from Blogstream that on E-bay you can sell things and make money you might try that, you could even buy things from 99 cent stores and up the price to 4.99 and make a profit.

It's tough to give advice to a very difficult-to-underestand situation. All I see is that you were bilked by the church. I'd sa, if that's the case, get out of there.

I'm not an expert, but don't give him anything.....its not your fault that his employees went with you...if he was a good enough boss they would of stayed....Not trying to be mean, but I'm really suprised that your pastor agreed with him...thats nuts...didnt those people leave on their own free will? If so, then don't feel bad about it...it's not like you held them at gun point...so to speak...take good care cindy

If you can't write the whole story what kind of advice do you expect to get.

On what you have said, there is only limited amount of advice that can be given. One, if you are not happy with what has been said, which you are not, go further to tell your story. Do you have friends, you family, perhaps old employer nearby that you can share this with. Even though Pastors are great at listening, they are not always the best at business advice. In your church there must be another businessman you can trust, if not, seek one out.
Two, pray with this man, even though it may be hard, if you are both Christians, God will certainly bless you with an answer. Prayer is more powerful, pray constantly. Peace man, samuel

Cindy I agree whole heartedly and I haven't talked to anyone that would take the other side with the exception of him. I guess some things I just don't understand and probably never will!

Also I must tell you that I've never met better friends and nocer people than at my church. Amazing how my "church" is so awesome but leadership is struggling.

Stacy I don't hid from my problems and I also don't name names so I assure you it has nothing to do with getting people on my side. I'm actually looking for advice from godly people. My past is my past and has nothing to do with this issue. Not sure where your comment came from but I'd be happy to give you my whole story if it mattered in this matter.

I feel leaving a church because of one of the church members is wrong because the church is the body. Everybody and especially in large church settings your bound to have somebody you don;t like.

Stacy I'd be happy to put the old post back up. I just felt like after your comment people would relate the church to my past and really I have a completely different life. It's really not fair to relate my past to a church. Also if people figured out what church I was talking about I wouldn't want it to hurt anybody including God's kinddom.

But since you asked I'm changing the quesitons back it's not fair to change the question after the fact.

Do people love the dirty laundry that much that when I create a positive blog noone comments and when it's scandalist I get 16 people jumping on it?
<   <<   >>   >

by Todd Charske (PM , CC ) on Friday March 10, 2006 @ 9:18 AM

Todd it is obvious that there are some deeper issues here. You change the original post, you erased another post and it seems that you can't make up your mind. Seeing what you have written I would be willing to bet that there is a lot more to the story and that your not as innocent as you are claiming to be. You keep throwing God in the middle of everything and have expressed thankfulness that the pastor forgave you, but have you forgiven this other person for the alleged wrong doings and apologized for your action. Until you are willing to make thing right with that person, whatever that may be, I think you should leave God out of it because that is what he would want you to do.
<   <<   >>   >

by blogmaster (PM , CC ) on Friday March 10, 2006 @ 2:44 PM

God has everything to do with it. That's the whole thing behind Christianity and with out Christ nobody would be forgiven. Isn't that right S.S.H.? The goal in everybody's life should be to become more like Christ. If I left God out of it then I would be doing the opposite. So Blogmaster I feel that your advice is not coming from a Godly man. As for my innocence I believe that i did falsely accuse my pasteur of taking sides and after he explained things to me I assure you he was in the right. Yes, I am able to admit my wrongs. That's not easy for most people. What about you blogmaster?
<   <<   >>   >

by Todd Charske (PM , CC ) on Saturday March 11, 2006 @ 10:34 AM

My point was simply, you keep talking about how you have made things right with your pastor but have you made things right with this other person? That is what needs to happen. Until you make thing right with your Christian Brother you shouldn't keep bringing God into it. Until you have forgiven him and made things right you can't be right in your relationship with God. That was my point.God does forgive, the question is have you? and at the same time have you looked inside yourself to see if you have wronged this other person in any way. So until your willing to make it right with everyone that was involved (you, the pastor, this other person)you need to remember that it is impossible for you to have a complete and intimate relationship with God.

by blogmaster (PM , CC ) on Saturday March 11, 2006 @ 11:56 AM

Wow good point blogmaster. I have ask for forgiveness for my part in the situation. Was I without fault? NO? That comment makes much more sense. The problem I have is that we are all sinners and nobody's perfect so by your definition of being right with God Can anybody ever be right with God? Just a questions I understand your point and it's something to work towards in my christian walk but I can only ask for forgiveness I can't force someone to forgive. Also if my financial means do not allow what this other person is asking I can only do so much.

I received today a letter in "snail" mail from a "brother in christ" not sure why it wasn't posted but the person is chosing to remain anonymous. Pretty impressive Bible references probably uses a concordance very well or maybe just a good bible scholar. Anyway to whoever went through the trouble of writing me a letter thanks.

You may also consider when Jesus died for our sins (i.e New testament) the Old Testament laws are now just impossible guidelines to meet. The only way is through the belief in Jesus not in following the law. Even if you have to go to Home Depot to do it!

Keep in mind think a sin per the bible is as bad as doing it. Therefore if you are mad at someone your violating the law. We are all sinners. Scary without him!

Why is it that it's easier to convince women that God is real but Men seem to take and influence others once they're conviced?

Just my opinion after many observations.

Hi, new to the blog but glad you have it up. The church is the earthly representation of Christ...Unfortunately, its populated by human beings, and wherever you have human beings, youre gonna have problems. Just remember that God is perfect, but His people are not. And believe me, Ive had to remember that lesson myself.

It may be that you are meant to go to another church for a fresh start, or maybe just for a little time off. I dont know what the situation is, but whatever it is, I pray God will help you in this. Keep us posted.

Thanks Preach. It was actually worked out and believe me I've learned that the people that have to run around (the guy I had a problem with telling everybody how Holy they are they are usually the ones that are the most unholy. Amazing how some people try to use God for their own personal benefit and don't live for his glory!

The pasture of my church recentely left the church due to some pretty extreme problems he was having personally. Many people are following this man to another church. Now my question is at what point in time are people following God because of this man and at what point in time does his following become a cult - i.e. following a man. This man is incredibily dynamic an amazing speaker but also has shown many problems. Does this not sound like the starting of something bad or is this the growth of a new church?
